Africa: Nearly 7.9 Million Covid-19 Recoveries Across Continent

As of November 8, 2021, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,531,667 while over  123,372,219 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  219,492 and  7,897,235 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases  2,923,956 and  89,332 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  947,396 ), Tunisia (  713,308 ), Ethiopia (  367,210 ), Libya (  360,914 ), Egypt ( 337,485  ) and Kenya ( 253,833 ).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
